Most people familiar with matcha have heard of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). It is a powerful antioxidant that is especially good at interacting with other other molecules and cellular processes. This means that the benefits are more likely to be pronounced since this is a plant compound that really likes to party in your cells. The tannins in matcha can reduce the appearance of pores and its chlorophyll is an amazing detoxifier, making this cleanser especially useful for problem skin.

Once mixed, Easy Being Green has a pH of 5 when using distilled water, making it perfect for protecting your skin's acid mantle. This cleanser is a wonderful choice for travelling, and makes a fabulously clarifying face mask as well.

Ingredients: Camellia Sinensis (Matcha) Tea Powder*, Avena Sativa (Oat) Flour*, Cicer Arietinum (Garbanzo) Flour*, Kaolin (White) Clay, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Powder*.
*organic

To use, sprinkle a quarter-sized (about a half teaspoon) amount into your palm and slowly add water while mixing with your finger. Add a drop or two of serum if desired. Once mixed into a creamy consistency, massage into skin using circular motions. Rinse well and pat dry to reveal clean, fresh skin.

This 4 ounce bottle contains 24 teaspoons, or approximately 48 uses. If used as a mask, the number of uses may be less.

The Granola Goat is proud to be registered with Leaping Bunny and PETA as cruelty free! All of our products are vegan and blessed with Reiki energy by a Reiki Master.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are all of your products vegan and cruelty free? How do you know your suppliers aren’t testing on animals?

YES! All my products are certified vegan AND cruelty free by PETA. The Granola Goat is also certified cruelty free by the Leaping Bunny program. I care about this deeply and if I cannot verify my suppliers are cruelty free via their own literature, I contact them to make sure.

Where do you get your ingredients?

I source from major companies as well as small and indie businesses when possible. I love to buy directly from the farm, producer, or maker but if I must purchase through a distributor, I choose companies who have a reputation to protect. All the essential oils I use are grown without pesticides, synthetic chemicals, herbicides, gmo's, harmful chemicals or fertilizers. I will never purchase cheap products from suspect suppliers, no matter what their claims are. Saving a dime is not worth putting old or adulterated ingredients in my bottle and on your skin. I want you to be healthier, and safer when it comes to your beauty choices.

Are your products recommended for sensitive skin?

Oh yes. You might find that the culprit behind the burning and itching your face feels when using certain products is the preservative. Products containing water must be preserved to inhibit bacterial growth. If you have sensitive skin, you might just need to avoid preservatives.

Your ingredients lists are pretty short. Why don’t you put more stuff in your stuff?

Keeping it simple is kind of my thing. I believe in getting the full benefit from few as opposed to minimal benefit from many. If you want to go crazy and get lots of ingredients at once, mix some of my products. It’s not unheard of for me to sport a face mask that was mixed with the last little bit of three different jars. My serums play well together if you want to mix them (Brighter Days and Keep Calm are glorious together!), and we even love to combine a little makeup removing oil with serum for a nice oil cleanse.

Are all the ingredients listed in the product descriptions?

Absolutely! There are no hidden ingredients, no undisclosed use of solvents like hexane (because I don't use solvent extracted oils at all), no preservatives, and nothing disguised.
